As it turned out, I didn’t get to do a whole lot of traveling last year—which was a bit of an adjustment, especially compared with previous years. It’s looking like 2015, though, is going to be another big travel year—which to me feels more like normal life.
Tomorrow morning I’m hitting the road again … and I think you can guess the destination. I have some very specific goals for the trip, which I hope will play out here in a few weeks. For the next few posts, though, I’m going to run a few of my favorite sketches from my last roadtrip to the Golden State.
Enjoy, and see you on the other side!
yay, codex! have a great trip.
I accidentally found your site today and I’m loving it! Do you travel alone? Of so, I’m green with envy but so happy for you. I would love to have an RV and just travel and sketch, but at 77 with a spoiled cat who doesn’t travel well, I’ll have to be happy enjoying you. I look forward to your newsletters. I live in Tacoma too and now that I think about it, I got wind of you from Urban Sketchers. I’ve not gone sketching with them yet as I’m having some issues with my knee so getting around is a bit of a challenge. But living vicariously isn’t all that bad. 🙂
Thanks, Diana! I do travel alone sometimes, and sometimes with my husband or with friends. It’s really a mix, depending on the reason for travel and time of year (when I travel alone it’s usually for work). Thanks for reading!
